AUNT POTH was born in SURIN. The PROVINCE in the North-Eastern part of Thailand or E-sarn where the capital of elephant village  and ancient Khmer sancturies are located.

 

During childhood, Aunt Poth's parents sent her to the North,Chiangmai, one of tourist destinations to get her education. She went to Dramatic Arts school where students learn Thai classical & Folk music and Dance. She studied and lived there about 9 years by supervision of Arjarn Teerayuth Yoangsri, one of the best Masters in KHON (Thai mask) -Lakorn (Dance) and his family. 

 

In 1985 Aunt Poth left Chaingmai and moved to Bangkok, the CAPITAL of THAILAND to futher education. She hold B.A. in Music, History-Psychology and M.A. in Anthropology. She worked in Music industry  where its gave her opportunities to travel  nationwide and aboard.

Aunt Poth  love  varieties of arts, culture and sceneries  of the country. So in 2002 she continued education training as a Tourist Guide, a  project between Silpakorn University and Tourism Authority of Thailand. She has a  her Tourist guide Licence, and willing to  share "Thainess" to travellers and anyone who loves to explore other culture.

 

Life changed. Aunt Poth has moved and lived in Seattle but still goes back to visit  Thailand on regular basis.

She  really like to share  the way of life in Thailand in term of "FOOD and Entertainment" to  friends and family in the SEATTLE area.
